KXAN is hosting a live mayoral forum on Tuesday, October 15 from 4 - 5 pm. They indicated it is crucial for voters to have a comprehensive understanding of each candidate's positions on key issues affecting Austin, yet I cannot participate unless I can prove I have raised $25,000, indicating I am a "viable" candidate. Signing up late to the game should not exclude me. You can donate any amount, large or small and help get me on the panel. All of the candidates should be heard regardless of the money raised. Please consider making a donation or you can email Haley Cihock at KXAN and ask for them to put me on the panel. Email [email protected]

I am NOT a politician!
I have never even run for a political office before, but I am more than willing to take on the task of Mayor. What I am is a fed up, hard working, self-employed citizen, like so many others living in Austin. I am a homeowner in the Maple Run neighborhood, and I am very involved in my community. I am very knowledgeable about what is going on in the city and I do not always agree with how things are being run. I'm not afraid to speak up at City Council, and have done so many times. We are spending WAY too much of the taxpayer's money, without taking into consideration their input. We need to start to LISTEN to the citizens! We need to take their comments seriously. The council and mayor should NOT vote on issues at 2:00 in the morning - especially having already made their decision and announcing it BEFORE citizens were even able to speak.
